 We recommend changing furnace filters every 1-3 months or every 6-12 for high efficiency filters. This helps prevent dirt and dust build up that makes it harder for parts to work which can lead to furnace malfunction or a breakdown.   

Have your heating systems inspected regularly as a preventative measure.

If you have a fireplace, have it cleaned and inspected regularly.

When using your fireplace, reduce the temperature on your thermostat so the warm air from the furnace doesn't leave through the chimney, wasting money.

Common problems for heating systems include plugged drain lines, plugged intake and exhaust vents, dirty filters, defective thermostats and lack of return air.
